About me

Started my journey as an English teacher in January 2017 after having moved to Italy, I followed my instinct with the purpose of implementing my knowledge for the benefit of others.

From teaching online perceptive adults and hard to engage children to preparing myself for Cambridge and IELTS exams with subsequent successful passing them, I have gained an incredible experience that has always grown, and so has knowledge to share with students.

Building up competence and expertise, and expanding existing experience unremittingly, I found out my true mission of being an approachable mentor encouraging students to be persistent in learning by engaging them through conversation and sharing diverse tricks of better language assimilation that had been evolved and proved first-hand.

Years of hard work and continuous improvement of my skills and searching for the most effective ways of learning never let me underestimate my students’ efforts and, moreover, made me appreciative of their attempts to master the language while struggling with a fear of not being able to do it eventually.

In 2022 another challenge came along with a great opportunity to take part in a TEFL academy course, primarily in order to see how my approach in preparation of creative and tailor-made activities resonates with independent judges of the course. That experience led me to obtaining a desired certificate to be officially empowered to teach English around the world.

Nowadays, after having gained two C1 Cambridge certificates in recent years, I keep challenging myself by taking exams, so that to feel myself in the place of a student, and thus allowing my experience to grow wider and wider.

My Method

First of all, my lessons are tailored-made and personalised taking in consideration a student’s age, preparation and personal traits. 

I rarely follow a textbook, and if so, I tend to add other engaging Internet or self-prepared materials to afford a student to assimilate new knowledge better. 

Apart from this, at the heart of the teaching process, there are certain strategies that help students enhance their understanding of a sentence structure and improve their speaking skills, namely:

  • a method of periodical revision;
  • a method of picture-based stimulated answers;
  • a method of a story summary;
  • a method of a full phrase articulation.

In addition, I creat a friendly non-judgemental setting which encourages students to open up and express themselves.
